Say What?!

You had me seeing red

I wasn't just in my head

I was processing what you said

You hit me with a line

That's been running through my mind

And I hope that it goes away with time

But the disrespect was real

Now I don't know how to feel

You threw out some sex shit

I don't know how you expected it to hit

But the fact that it was said just wasn't it

You made it seem like I was lucky to have you

And that statement might be true

But what makes you think that the same doesn't apply to you

You said you could be slurping and fucking her instead of me

You said that shit like I should feel lucky

Yet I don't even touch on how many niggas wanna slurp and fuck me

But the fact that it was said

Is what is swimming around my head

That's some shit that should never be said to your lady

That's some shit that should never be said to me

And to set the record straight I'm not with you for your "body"

Because dick don't move me

Nor does it rule me

I was with you trying to blend and create a family

I'm not fucked up though

Just wanted you to know

Don't be quick to jump at me and treat me like I'm a hoe

Fuck not wanting to look like a simp

Because I'm not trying to date a pimp

Nor do I want a whimp

I want someone that can show me love no matter what

Someone to listen without always yelling "What the fuck"

I want a man that's gone love me for me

I want a man that's ready to be a family

I need a man that's all about me

Mind, body, and soul

To have and to hold

Together forever as we grow old

But no matter what respect me

And I'll respect you as your lady

All is fair in love and war

Until you push me too far

Missing You Son

My heart is so heavy

We were nowhere near ready

I never thought God would call you home

Now I feel so alone

The house is so quiet without you

I spend a lot of time not knowing what to do

I stare at your pictures in my phone

I cry while talking to you when I'm alone

Son since you've been gone

These days seem so long

I'm so hurt behind this

I miss being able to say "Hey Tris!"

I miss hearing you laugh and seeing you smile

No parent should have to live without their child

Lord why did you call him home?!

Why is my child gone?!

Life just doesn't seem right without you

I spend my days not knowing what to do

I cry more than people know

I try not to let my depression show

But the pain is so deep rooted

Because from my life my child was abruptly uprooted

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you

Tell your brother that I deeply miss him too

My loverboys have left me

Now I feel so empty

Lord I wish this could be undone

Just know that I love and miss you son

And I don't know when

But I will see you again
